Man pleads guilty to Class A drug supply offences in Basingstoke

Following a proactive stop on a vehicle, officers seized around £1,900 in cash and around 30 wraps of suspected Class A drugs

A man has pleaded guilty to offences including Class A drug supply, following a proactive stop on a vehicle in Basingstoke.

A vehicle was stopped at around 5:45pm on Saturday 14 March, where officers then seized around £1,900 in cash and around 30 wraps of suspected Class A drugs.

35-year-old Ryan Adey, of no fixed address, was charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – cocaine, an offence under the Proceeds of Crime Act, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence.

Adey was also charged with further offences relating an incident on Thursday 15 January this year, when officers stopped a vehicle in Crabtree Way, Old Basing.

Officers located cash and around 45 bags of suspected cocaine following a search.

In relation to this incident, Adey was with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – cocaine, an offence under the Proceeds of Crime Act, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence.

Adey pleaded guilty to all eight charges when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Monday 16 March.

He will appear at Winchester Crown Court on Friday 17 April.
