Reading Football Club has announced the signing of Kyreece Lisbie from Colchester United on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The transfer is pending ratification by football authorities.

Kyreece Lisbie, who has had a varied career journey in football, began at Leyton Orient before playing at Cray Valley Paper Mills with his brother.

He made his senior debut at 17 years old.

He then joined Watford's academy and later Brentford's B Team until February 2025, when Colchester United acquired him.

In the 2025/26 season, Lisbie excelled at Colchester United, showcasing his talent in League Two by scoring 11 goals and providing 5 assists in 45 games.

His impressive performance caught the eye of several League One clubs.

This move marks Kyreece not only as the first summer signing for Reading FC but also as the second Lisbie to play for the Royals.

His father, Kevin Lisbie, was briefly on loan at Reading in 1999.

Manager Leam Richardson expressed enthusiasm about the winger’s addition to the team:

"We are delighted to welcome Kyreece to the club. He is a player we have had an interest in for a long time, and we feel he will be a perfect fit for our club and our team.

"He is a player with a lot of pace and power, a player who is exciting to watch and will get fans out of their seat.

"He had a fantastic year in League 2 last season, and we are looking forward to seeing what impact he can make in our team."
