Hampshire Healthy Families host 'Ready Steady Walks' for Maternal Mental Health Week
Family-friendly walks to support maternal mental health across the region
To celebrate Maternal Mental Health Week, Hampshire Healthy Families is organising 'Ready Steady Walks' from 4th to 10th May 2026, providing an opportunity for families to join in community walks across Hampshire.
Taking place across locations such as Aldershot, Andover, Winchester, and Waterlooville, these walks offer fully accessible, pushchair-friendly routes, welcoming everyone in the family to participate regardless of weather conditions.
Due to the Bank Holiday, walks will not happen on Monday 4th May, but families can look forward to celebrating on Monday 11th May instead.
Led by Hampshire Healthy Families volunteers, the walks will also have staff from local health visiting teams in attendance, fostering supportive environments for maternal mental health.
These free events aim to raise awareness of maternal mental health, encouraging families to engage in outdoor activities while connecting with health services in their communities.
