Farnborough man jailed for 18 years for child sex offences
Dominic Mulligan has been sentenced for crimes against two victims.
Dominic Mulligan, 52, of Elles Close, Farnborough, has been jailed for 18 years after being found guilty of multiple non-recent child sex offences.
The offences, which involved two victims, took place in the Farnborough area between 2003 and 2012. They were reported to police in 2023.
A trial at Winchester Crown Court led to Mulligan being convicted of:
- Rape of a girl under 13
- Rape of a girl under 16
- Rape of a woman aged 16 years or over
- Assault of a girl under 13 by penetration
- Assault of a girl under 13 by touching
- Causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity
On Monday, 26th January, Mulligan was sentenced to 18 years in prison with an extended license period of one year.
He was also made subject to a restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order which prohibits him from contacting children. Additionally, Mulligan will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
T/Detective Sergeant Bethan Hastelow from Hart and Rushmoor CID praised the victims for their courage in coming forward.
“Firstly I would like to thank both victims for their bravery throughout the investigation and trial," she said.
“I hope both women can try and move forward knowing that Dominic Mulligan will spend a large portion of his life behind bars for what he did to them.
“I sincerely hope this sentence gives other victims of sexual offences the confidence to bring their case to us.
“No matter how long ago the incident occurred we will do everything we can to investigate and bring offenders to justice.”
