A Basingstoke man is set to appear in court after being charged with a weapon offence following an incident on Worting Road, near Attwood Close.

Around 1am on Saturday, 20th June, officers responded to reports of a man making threats while wielding a hammer.

Upon arrival, police discovered a hammer, wrench, and a sock containing a padlock at the scene.

Jamie Marks, 42, of Attwood Close, was subsequently arrested and charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Court Appearance

Marks is scheduled to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today, 22nd June.

The hearing will address the charges against him stemming from the weekend's incident.
