Two County Lines dealers jailed after gun and machetes found in raids
The pair ran a drugs line supplying cocaine and heroin across Hitchin and the surrounding area
Two men who ran a County Lines drugs operation supplying Class A drugs across North Hertfordshire have been jailed for a combined total of eight years.
The pair were behind the 'Tariq' line, which supplied cocaine and heroin to Hitchin and the surrounding area, Hertfordshire Constabulary said.
What police found
Officers from the force's Serious and Organised Crime Investigation Unit carried out search warrants at two addresses in Hitchin and Holwell in September 2025.
The operation was supported by officers from the Operational Support Group, and two arrests were made.
During the searches, police seized Class A and B drugs worth around £5,000, along with more than £10,000 in cash.
Officers also recovered a viable firearm, three imitation firearms, ammunition, a crossbow and four machetes.
The sentences
Both men appeared at St Albans Crown Court on Friday 28th August 2026 and pleaded guilty to their involvement.
Omareo Bryant, a 22-year-old from Hitchin, was sentenced to five years and six months in prison for possession of a firearm.
He was also given five months for possession of ammunition, 27 months for possession with intent to supply cocaine, 27 months for possession with intent to supply heroin, 12 months for possession with intent to supply cannabis and 12 months for possession of criminal property, all to be served concurrently.
Kamil Tunnicliffe, a 27-year-old from Hitchin, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
He was also given 20 months for being concerned in the supply of heroin and six months for being concerned in the supply of cannabis, both to be served concurrently.

Detective Constable Jake Barnard, from the Serious and Organised Crime Investigation Unit, said: "These men were involved in running the 'Tariq' line that was supplying drugs to the North Herts area.
"This operation was the culmination of months of work which targeted the drug line, that had been supplying cocaine and heroin in Hitchin and surrounding areas.
"These sentences will have a significant effect on the drug supply and related crime in the surrounding communities as will the removal of several real and imitation weapons.
