Six arrested over suspected murder of Jesbir Singh Khela near Langford
Officers carried out warrants at five addresses in Letchworth, Stotfold, and Clifton.
Six men have been arrested as part of an investigation into the death of Jesbir Singh Khela, whose body was discovered in a burnt-out car near Langford earlier this year.
The body of 47-year-old Jesbir, known to some as Jessy, was found on 6 February in the driver’s seat of a Skoda Octavia on a field near the B659 Langford Road.
Officers carried out warrants at five addresses in Letchworth, Stotfold, and Clifton on Tuesday morning (18 November), leading to the arrests of six men.
Two men in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of murder, while four others, also in their 30s, were detained for suspicion of conspiracy to murder. All six are now in police custody for questioning.
Police confirmed that a seventh man in his 30s was arrested back in June in connection to the case but has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
Detectives are urging anyone who has information that might assist their investigation to come forward.
