Driver seriously injured in M40 crash

An investigation is underway

Thames Valley Police are calling for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a serious crash on the M40 between junctions 4 and 5.

A black Vauxhall Corsa was traveling northbound on the motorway in lane three when it collided with the central reservation barrier around 11.15 pm on 26th February.

Following the initial crash, a blue Land Rover Discovery, traveling in the same lane, collided with the offside of the Vauxhall Corsa.

The driver of the Corsa sustained serious injuries and has been hospitalized.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

PC Matthew Carson of the Roads Policing Unit expressed the need for accounts or footage from drivers who were present during the collision on the M40.

“I am appealing to anybody who was driving in the area at the time of this collision and witnessed the incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police,” PC Carson said.

“If you have dash-cam footage which has captured the collision or the moments leading up to it, please contact us.
