Police launch witness appeal after fatal road collision in Maidenhead
A 21-year-old woman died as a result of the collision.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a fatal road collision in Maidenhead at the weekend.
The incident took place on Hawthorn Hill at around 8.40am on Saturday morning. The collision involved a black Renault Twingo and a grey Ford Transit.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 21-year old woman, died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.
Sergeant Mark Gawthrop, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died at this extremely difficult time."
“We are aware that a number of motorists who may have witnessed the collision left the scene before police arrived."
“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, as they may have information that could assist our investigation."
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and has dash-cam footage.”
