Neighbourhood police address speeding concerns in Bushey
Operation sees enforcement action on Park Avenue drivers
Officers from the Bushey and Radlett Neighbourhood Policing Team have conducted an operation to tackle speeding drivers in Bushey.
Responding to community reports of increased speeding along Park Avenue, the operation saw 16 vehicles stopped for exceeding speed limits.
Two drivers received traffic offence reports for recorded speeds ranging between 38mph and 41mph in a 30mph zone.
PC Luke Hinchliffe explained, “This operation was carried out in response to reports from the local community about speeding on Park Avenue."
While most vehicles adhered to the limit, those who did not were engaged positively, and two were formally reported for their excessive speeds.
PC Hinchliffe stressed the importance of sticking to speed limits, highlighting the increased risk of collisions and the potentially devastating impact on road safety.
Efforts to enhance road safety in Bushey will continue based on local concerns, encouraging drivers to slow down for the protection of pedestrians and families, especially during busy periods.
