Woman found dead in Milton Keynes named by police
Murder investigation continues as man remains detained under Mental Health Act
A woman found dead in Milton Keynes has been formally identified as 58-year-old Achamma John.
Thames Valley Police said a post-mortem examination found the provisional cause of death to be a traumatic head injury and a stab wound to the chest.
An inquest into her death was opened and adjourned at Milton Keynes Coroner's Court on Monday.
A 58-year-old man from Milton Keynes, arrested on suspicion of murder on 24 May, remains detained under Section 2 of the Mental Health Act.
Detective Chief Inspector Will Crowther, of Thames Valley Police's Major Crime Unit, said officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
Police said specially trained family liaison officers continue to support Ms John's family and have asked for their privacy to be respected.
