A search is underway for a 64-year-old woman from Sandy, Bedfordshire, who has been missing for four days after last being seen near Sutton, East Cambridgeshire.

The woman was last spotted at around 11.20am on Sunday, 15th February, near The Old Anchor pub, off Bury Lane, Sutton, close to Ely.

Her silver Mercedes E Class estate was discovered parked opposite the pub.

Officers are conducting searches in nearby water and green areas.

She is described as white, 5'4", with a medium build, mousy grey, chin-length hair, and grey/blue eyes.

She usually wears glasses and was last seen wearing a dark plum coloured Rohan coat, a pale blue beanie hat, dark walking trousers, and carrying a small rucksack.

Detective Inspector Alice Draper said: “I’m appealing to anyone who may have seen Carol since on or since Sunday to get in touch with us so we can target our searches.

“We still hold out hope of finding Carol alive, but specialist officers are searching areas of water in the vicinity where her car was found.

“If anyone has seen her or has dashcam footage, it would really help us to narrow down our search area.”
