A man has been jailed and given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) after being found guilty of various offences in High Wycombe.

Jamie Bolton, 25, who has no fixed abode, admitted to multiple charges at High Wycombe Magistrates Court last Monday, 9th February.

The charges include three counts of breaching community protection notices, three counts of missing court dates, possession of a bladed article, and public order offences.

Bolton received a 20-week prison sentence, a £200 fine, and a CBO which remains in effect until 8th February 2028.

The CBO forbids Bolton from entering specific areas in High Wycombe, begging or soliciting money, engaging with the public in an intimidating or aggressive manner, loitering near doorways, cash machines or public footpaths, and placing signs or containers inviting money.

Between 3rd and 8th February, Bolton violated several community notice orders, notably by begging.

He was arrested on 8th February and charged the following day.

PC Daniel Coope from the Wycombe Town Centre Team said: “Aggressive begging is something the team and I take very seriously, and we will not tolerate it in the town.

"We require your assistance to take action against this offending, if you are ever a victim of aggressive begging, please note down the time and location and promptly report it.

"With your reports we can evidence the negative impact the behaviour is having on the community and take the needed steps to deter it.

"We would like to continue to utilise criminal behaviour orders against individuals that are causing persistent issues in the town and can only do so with your support."
