A man has been jailed for three years after police found cocaine, cannabis and £19,495 in cash during a search of an address in High Wycombe.

Wasim Zaman, a 31-year-old from Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe, pleaded guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday 5th October.

He admitted one count of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, cocaine, and one count of possession with intent to supply a class B drug, cannabis.

He was sentenced at the same hearing, and the drugs and paraphernalia will be forfeited and destroyed.

What police found

Thames Valley Police said officers from the proactive and Neighbourhood team in High Wycombe searched an address linked to Zaman at around 3.20pm on 12th June.

The search was carried out under a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant.

Officers seized 172g of cocaine, with an estimated street value of £11,750.

They also seized a significant quantity of cannabis, several mobile phones and £19,495 in cash.

Police said one of the phones was linked to the supply of drugs.

Officers also recovered a number of rap lyrics written by Zaman, which police said referenced his involvement in drug dealing and periods spent in prison.

A small quantity of cocaine and £336 in cash were found on Zaman and were also seized.

He was arrested the same day and charged the following day, 13th June.

What police said

Investigating officer PC Pete Robinson, of the Buckinghamshire Proactive Team, said: "Zaman was involved in the supply of harmful class A and class B drugs into our communities, contributing to the misery and exploitation that drug dealing causes.

"Thanks to the proactive work of officers, significant quantities of cocaine and cannabis were recovered, alongside a large amount of cash and a mobile phone linked to drug supplying. The evidence gathered throughout our investigation linked Zaman directly to these drugs and resulted in him pleading guilty to multiple offences.

"We remain committed to disrupting the supply of illegal drugs and bringing those responsible before the courts. This sentence demonstrates that those who choose to engage in this type of criminality will be identified, investigated and held accountable for their actions."
