A 26-year-old man has been jailed for drug offences in Aylesbury following a Thames Valley Police investigation.

Haxhi Bera, who has no fixed abode, received a one year and six-month prison sentence after appearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on 2nd March.

Alongside the jail time, the court imposed a £187 surcharge, ordered the forfeiture of cash, destruction of drugs, and handed down a 184-day driving disqualification.

Bera admitted to possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, possessing criminal property, and driving offences at a previous hearing on 1st December.

On 1st November, Local Proactive Team officers from Aylesbury stopped Bera in a Hyundai i10 on Wigmore Road.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 86 grip-seal bags of cocaine, prompting Bera's arrest for suspicion of supplying drugs.

Charges were brought against Bera the following day.

PC Levi Fensom, the investigating officer, spoke on the matter: “We will not tolerate drug supply in Aylesbury, and this case shows what happens when offenders are caught. Our teams remain committed to removing harmful substances from our streets.”
