A 41-year-old man from High Wycombe has been sentenced to four years in prison for drug supply and possession of criminal property offences.

Jamie Tanachaisugit, of Carrington Road, pleaded guilty to possessing Heroin and Crack Cocaine with intent to supply, as well as possession of criminal property involving cash. He was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday, 17th February.

Officers from the High Wycombe Proactive Team received information indicating that Tanachaisugit was dealing drugs from a grey Kia Sportage.

The vehicle was seen speeding along Copyground Lane, and while officers temporarily lost sight of it, they eventually located it on a steep driveway on Carrington Road.

Tanachaisugit attempted to leave but was blocked and detained from the driver's seat for a drugs search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Officers found with a black smartphone and £495 in cash, unable to provide a plausible explanation for his presence at the address.

Further property searches yielded suspected Crack Cocaine and Heroin in the bedroom, scales, Rizla papers, £720 in a biscuit tin, and 10 bags of cannabis from a tea tin in the lounge.

Investigating officer, Marcus Rose of the Buckinghamshire Proactive Team, said: “I am pleased that our officers acted quickly to stop Tanachaisugit and have removed an offender from the streets of High Wycombe.

“We will continue to target those involved in drug dealing, using both visible patrols and covert tactics to disrupt their activity and bring them to justice. Our message is simple: if you deal drugs, we will identify you and we will take action.

“The public also play a crucial role in helping us tackle this issue. If you have any information about drug dealing in your area, please contact us on 101 or use the online reporting service on our website.”
