Police reissue appeal after Milton Keynes man fails to appear for sentencing
Emmanuel Sakyi sought for not attending court for dangerous driving conviction
Last updated 19th Oct 2026
Thames Valley Police are renewing their appeal to locate Emmanuel Sakyi, a 31-year-old man from Milton Keynes who has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for causing death by dangerous driving.
Sakyi failed to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court for his trial in June, despite being convicted of causing death by dangerous driving following a serious collision.
On 4th December 2022, Sakyi was involved in a head-on crash between Bond Avenue roundabout and Fenny Lock roundabout, Milton Keynes, while driving on the wrong side of the road and over twice the legal alcohol limit.
Tragically, the collision led to the death of his seven-month-old daughter Emmanuela, who was not properly secured in a car seat.
Sakyi left the scene on foot and was later arrested at his home.
The court convicted him in his absence, sentencing him to 15 years based on a unanimous jury verdict.
Police continue their search for Sakyi, with Superintendent Euan Livingstone from the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit urging anyone with information to come forward.
A reward of £7,500 is still available via Crimestoppers for information leading to Sakyi’s arrest.
Anyone with details on Sakyi's location is asked to contact Thames Valley Police or anonymously report to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
