E-bike rider involved in Goffs Oak crash

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a collision in Goffs Oak.

The incident occurred at around 7am today (Friday 28 November) on Burntfarm Ride and involved an e-bike.

The rider of the e-bike, a man aged in his 40s, is believed to have suffered a medical episode before coming off his bike. He was taken to hospital in a serious, life-threatening condition.

Sergeant Chris Whales from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed what happened to please get in touch. If you were driving and have a dash cam fitted, please review your footage as you may have captured something which could assist our investigation.

“The location of this incident is also a public bridleway. If you were walking in the area and may have seen a man on an e-bike this morning, please do get in touch as you may have information which could help us.”
