Bedford police confirm man's death not due to explosion

Police in Bedford have confirmed that an incident at an industrial unit on Brunel Road, which led to the death of a man in his 30s, is no longer being investigated as a suspected explosion.

The incident occurred yesterday at 3.20pm, leading to emergency services rushing to the scene.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while another man was taken to hospital for precautionary measures and several others were assessed by paramedics.

A joint investigation is continuing with the Health and Safety Executive to establish the circumstances of the incident.
