A man has been sentenced to three years and six months imprisonment following his conviction for a series of motor vehicle offences and possession of criminal property in Aylesbury.

Kye Warner, aged 34, of Hilliers Avenue, Hillingdon, Uxbridge, pleaded guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court on 5th March 2026 to multiple charges including driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop when requested by a constable, and possession with intent to supply a class B drug, namely codeine.

On Tuesday, Warner was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court.

The charges stem from an incident on 11th December last year when officers from the Proactive Roads Policing Team attempted to stop Warner, who was driving a black Mercedes on the A412.

Despite being disqualified and uninsured, Warner accelerated away, reaching speeds in excess of 120mph along the M40.

The Incident

Officers witnessed the Mercedes enter the Junction 2 northbound slip road and subsequently found it at a roundabout.

The vehicle had crashed into both the offside crash barrier and the side of an HGV, resulting in a ruptured fuel tank and diesel spillage across the carriageway.

Fortunately, no one was injured except for Warner himself.

Warner was apprehended after fleeing on foot, and a search of the vehicle uncovered 2,300 bottles of codeine.

Further Searches

Investigations led to a search of an address linked to Warner in Amersham, where over £80,000 of designer goods, £88,000 worth of Codeine and Promethazine, and £40,000 in cash were seized.

Warner was charged the day after the incident, on 12th December.

PC Ben McNeill of the Buckinghamshire Stronghold Team discussed the impact of the incident, stating, “This could have had far more serious consequences, and we are thankful that no one was injured.”

McNeill added, “Drug dealing also brings harm and misery to our communities and exploits vulnerable people. We will continue to target and disrupt those responsible.”

Warner's sentencing reflects a commitment to maintaining road safety and combating drug-related crime in Aylesbury.
