A man and a woman have been jailed for six years between them for burglary offences in Aylesbury.

In January, Amjid Ali and Melanie Willis entered a property on Pluto Way by smashing a window.

They then dragged a woman in her forties and restrained her in order to steal items.

They were arrested twenty minutes later, when local patrols were searching the area.

A Thames Valley police spokesperson said "The pair appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday (30th September) where the defendants each pleaded guilty to one count of burglary of a dwelling.

"Amjid Ali, aged 43, of Buckingham Street, Aylesbury was sentenced to three years in prison.
