Thames Valley Police seek information following Exchange Street assault

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following a grievous bodily harm incident in Aylesbury.

Between 11 pm on 13th June and 1 am on 14th June, two men arrived at the hospital with injuries allegedly sustained in an incident involving a bladed weapon near Waterside North Car Park on Exchange Street.

The first victim, a man in his forties, remains hospitalised with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The second victim, aged in his twenties, has been treated and discharged.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Chrisitan Meichsner is urging anyone present at the time of the assault or who witnessed the incident to contact the police.

"I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the assault and saw what happened to please contact us.”

The police are particularly interested in CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident.

Sergeant Meichsner emphasised:

“I appreciate that this incident would have been very concerning to anyone who witnessed it and those living in the local area and I would like to reassure you that we are investigating as a priority today.”

The police stress that they believe this incident to be isolated and not a threat to the wider public.
