13-year-old girl dies after crash near Ware

Her family has paid a heartfelt tribute.

A 13-year-old girl has died following a collision near Ware.

Evelyn Haylock, from Dane End, passed away on Wednesday, 4th February from injuries sustained when the car she was in left the road and ended up in a field in Dane End. The accident occurred on Saturday, 31st January.

She was a front seat passenger in the vehicle at the time.

Two other passengers, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

In a tribute shared by her family, Evelyn was remembered as a "wonderful" person whose sassiness and bubbly personality were infectious.

Her family said: "Evelyn was just wonderful. She was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, granddaughter, niece and friend."

"Her sassiness was infectious. She was bubbly and was loved by everyone that met her."

"As a family we are devastated at the loss of Evelyn, our hearts are broken."

"Evelyn, we love you, we’ll miss you, you’ll be forever 13 xx"

The family have requested privacy during this difficult time.

Dwane Moody, a 40-year-old from Rowney Lane in Dane End, who was driving the vehicle, has been charged in connection with the incident.
