Blue's Lee Ryan reveals the hilarious reason he was Head Boy at school
Blue joined Hits Radio Breakfast following their tour announcement
Following the exciting news that Blue are going on a huge run of tour dates in 2026, the band joined Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr on Hits Radio Breakfast to chat about their new music.
The conversation also turned to their school days, with Fleur asking: "What were you like at school?". And it seems that the boys were all very different at school, with Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe revealing they were Head Boys at school, while Antony Costa admitted he was often told to leave the classroom!
While Lee revealed he had been Head Boy it might not be for the reason you'd expect. The singer told us: "I was Head Boy once. Yeah, but I was the only I was the only boy in my term."
He went on to explain: "It was like a drama school, but it was a really new drama school and after all the others I got kicked out of, I was like...
"I went into drama school and they went, ‘Oh, we have to make you Head Boy Prefect’, and I was like, ‘Oh, amazing!’. They were like, ‘Yeah, but you're the only boy, so just take it’."
Lee went on to admit that he didn't last long, saying: "I walked out after that, I was like, I'm done with this. Too much responsibility!"
Blue will be heading out on a 2026 tour, starting in April, in Oxford, taking in dates across the UK ending on 30th April at Liverpool Philharmonic. Tickets will be on sale from 12th September at 10am, from Aloud.com
The tour will be preceded by the band's album 'Reflections', set for release in January next year. The album will feature their latest song 'One Last Time’ along with new music. Speaking about the new song, Duncan said: "'One Last Time’ is a song I wrote last year after the death of a really good friend of mine.
"It hit me hard and I wrote this in the aftermath of it all. But I didn’t want it to sound like a sad song, so we came up with this, which is a different kind of a sound for Blue – It has a rockier feel but still retains all the classic elements of a Blue song.
"We have had a lot of strong reactions to it – as anyone who has lost anyone can relate – and wish they could see that person for 'One Last Time'."

The singer starts his UK tour in Birmingham on 22nd September, before travelling across the UK, ending in London on 2nd October.

The Pussycat Dolls have reunited and will be playing a massive 53 dates around the world for their 'PCD Forever Tour', celebrating 20 years since 'Don't Cha' and the release of their debut album 'PCD'. Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts will begin in Birmingham on Tuesday 29th September, ending in London at The O2 Arena on Tuesday 13th October.

The singer will be starting in Leeds on Friday 26th March, with dates across England, Scotland and Wales, ending the following month, on Thursday 8th April, in Brighton.
