Amy Winehouse’s ‘Black To Black’ to be re-issued with unreleased performance
It will be available on 3LP, 3CD and digital deluxe re-issue
It has been a massive 20 years since the release of Amy Winehouse’s seminal ‘Back to Black’ album, which spawned hits such as the title track, ‘Rehab’, ‘You Know I'm No Good’ and ‘Tears Dry on Their Own’.
Now as the 20th anniversary is upon us, a new re-issue of the album has been announced and will feature ‘never-before-seen photos by original album photographers Mischa Richter and Alex Lake, plus brand new and poignant liner notes from producers and friends, Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi’.
The album, which will be available on various formats will be released on Friday 23rd October 2026 – just a few days before the anniversary of the original album’s release date of 27th October 2006.
News of the re-issue was announced on Amy's socials, with the account sharing a video of the late singer talking about how she was proud of the album she wrote. It was accompanied by the caption: 'Back To Black, one of the most celebrated and influential albums in pop history, marks its 20th anniversary with definitive new expanded editions.
'Brand new 3LP & 3CD sets feature 4 previously unreleased demos, rare B-sides & deluxe tracks, along with the complete Live at Paradiso, Amsterdam 2007 performance - available in full for the very first time.
'The editions also feature alternative album cover artwork, never-before-seen imagery and brand new liner notes from @iammarkronson & @salaamremi
'Special edition limited 1LP and 1CD formats also available.'
On its original release, 'Back To Black' became the best-selling album of 2007, after reaching Number 1 in the UK and beyond. Amy, the album, and its songs, also won an incredible six GRAMMYs in 2008, for: Song Of The Year ‘Rehab’, Record Of The Year ‘Rehab’, Album of the Year ‘Back To Black’, Best New Artist Amy Winehouse, Female Pop Vocal Performance ‘Rehab’ and Best Pop Vocal Album ‘ Back To Black’.
To date, the album has now sold over 4.5 million copies in the UK, earning a 15× Platinum certification.
