Driver dies and four people seriously injured in crash on Woodhead Pass
The crash, involving two vehicles, happened in Tintwistle last night
A driver has died and four other people have been seriously injured after a crash in the Peak District last night.
A BMW and a Mercedes were involved in a collision on the A628 Woodhead Road in Tintwistle at around 9:50pm last night.
The BMW driver, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mercedes driver suffered seruous injuries, as did three passengers in the BMW.
Witnesses are being urged to contact Derbyshire Police on 101.
