Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the signing of Iraq international Ali Al-Hamadi on a season long loan from Ipswich.
The 24 year old striker has netted 5 goals in 29 apprances for the Tractor Boys, with successful loan spells at Luton, Stoke and AFC Wimbledon.
Speaking to the Owls website, Al-Hamadi said: “What people are getting is a really hungry Ali at this moment. I'm feeling the best I've felt physically and mentally for a long time. You can expect someone who gives their all and wears a heart on their sleeve.
“I was impressed by the manager’s attention to detail, his human nature of how he gets you as a person. That's part of it sometimes, just having a good connection with the manager.
“I've always had a good relationship with fans, I’m someone who gets it and tries to buy into the team and the culture of the club, that's the sort of person I am.
“I'm honestly really, really delighted to be here. You can't pass up an opportunity to play for a club like this. It seems in a really good place from top to bottom, so a perfect time.”
