Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed that right-back Yan Valery will be available for selection against Portsmouth, although goalkeeper Pierce Charles has been ruled out for two months.

Valery has been on international duty for Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations over the past month and last appeared for Owls during the 1-1 draw against Watford.

Elsewhere Wednesday have been dealt a fresh injury blow with confirmation that goalkeeper Pierce Charles is facing a six to eight week recovery period.

He suffered a shoulder injury during the FA Cup tie against Brentford.

In other news, Olaf Kobacki, Liam Cooper and Max Lowe are all closing in on a return in a boost for Henrik Pedersen.

He's had to content with an extremely thin squad as a result of Owls falling into administration, with talks over new ownership still ongoing.
