Man charged with murder after fatal Doncaster stabbing
Brandon Gilbert to appear in connection with the death of Wayne Solomon
A 24 year old man has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of Wayne Solomon in Doncaster.
Officers were called to Galsworthy Close at 10.54pm last Wednesday (June 24) after reports of an injured man.
Wayne Solomon, aged 57, was found with serious injuries and later died in hospital.
His family is being supported by specialist officers.
24 year old Brandon Gilbert, with no fixed address, is charged with murder and possession of a bladed article and is due before Sheffield Magistrates' Court today.
Detectives initially arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of murder, possession of an offensive weapon, dangerous driving, and robbery.
He has been told he will face further action on all counts except the change of dangerous driving, for which he remains out on bail.
A 52-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder, and two women, aged 45 and 51, on suspicion of assisting an offender; they have all been bailed pending further enquiries.
Another 24-year-old man previously arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.
