Two people arrested in Manchester on suspicion of the murder of a man who was shot dead in Sheffield have been released on bail.
South Yorkshire Police have released an update as they continue to investigate the death of Ryan Kettlewell.
The 38-year-old was found dead in Ecclesall Woods early Wednesday evening (2nd September 2026).
A post-mortem confirmed he died from a gunshot wound.
Ryan's family has paid tribute, describing him as a lovable character who will be deeply missed:
"We will always continue to love him and will miss him greatly," they said, requesting privacy as they mourn.
A 34-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man who were arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been released as police continue to gather evidence.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles, overseeing the investigation, is urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.
