Two charged with attempted murder after violent attacks in Doncaster

It comes after attacks on an 81 year old man and another person earlier this month

Two people have been charged with attempted murder and GBH, after two violent assaults in the Edlington area of Doncaster this month.

The first happened at a home on St John's Road at around 11:42am on Tuesday (August 18).

An 81 year old man was found with serious injuries and remains in hospital.

The second incident happened at the Costcutter on Edlington Lane at 10:35pm yesterday (August 20).

A man was attacked inside the shop and was left with life changing injuries. They also remain in hospital.

53 year old Jacqueline Massie, of Church Road, has been charged over the first incident and is next due before Sheffield Crown Court on Monday (24 August).

33 year old Aiden Rattigan, of Arksey Lane in Bentley, is due before Sheffield Magistrates' today charged over the second incident.

The crimes are not thought to be connected to each other.
