16 year old in critical condition after Sheffield Ecclesall Road crash

Police were called to a collision involving a bike, a car and lorry this morning

A 16 year old boy is in a life threatening condition in hospital after a crash on Sheffield's Ecclesall Road this morning.

Police were called at around 8:30am to reports a boy riding a bike had collided with a black VW car before hitting a lorry while heading in the direction of Hunters Bar.

Emergency services including the air ambulance were called to the scene, with the 16 year old being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene and spoke to police.

South Yorkshire Police are now urging anyone with dashcam footage, or who witnessed the crash, to get in touch on 101.
