Operation Stovewood: Rotherham man due in court charged with rape of 15 year old

A man is due in court today accused of a serious sexual offence against a child in Rotherham in 2007.

Khezir Ilyas is due before Sheffield Crown Court today after being arrested under Operation Stovewood, the probe into historic sexual offending the Rotherham.

The 46 year old, who is from Rotherham, is accused of the rape of a 15 year old girl in 2007, having been arrested in June.
