People in South Yorkshire urged to 'know their limits' and stay safe on New Year's Eve
Many end up in A&E due to alcohol related incidents at this time of year

People heading out tonight in South Yorkshire & North Derbyshire are being reminded to 'remember their limits' with alcohol this evening.
It's as more of us are expected to head out later to celebrate New Year's Eve.
Stuart Green works for the Montrose Health Group in Sheffield - who help people recover from alcohol addiction - he has this advice:
"Think about what your plans are.
"Keep yourself safe with people that you know you can associate with.
"Understand your limits, and make sure you've got a way of getting home at the end of the night.
"The last place you want to be is in A & E in New Year's Eve.
"Have a good time but keep yourself safe, and make sure you eat something substantial before you go out.
"Drink plenty of water - tap water is free in a pub, so they're obliged to provide it.
"Try and space your drinks out, enjoy it, and remember it.
"Alcohol can take up to twenty minutes to absorb into your bloodstream, so you can feel fine at the time of drinking it, and before you know it, an accumulation of it can take its toll and leave you in a blackout position.
"Don't be frightened of saying no to booze as well - especially if you're drinking off the top shelf.
"If you're spacing your drinks out - such as lagers or beers - then it's very different."
