Second arrest made after gunfire towards homes in Balby
A 21 year old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A second arrest has been made in the investigation into shots being fired in the Balby area of Doncaster last week.
A 21-year-old man was arrested this morning on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of firearms with intent, criminal damage-arson endangering life, and theft of a motor vehicle.
He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
The arrest follows firearm incidents on Surrey Street and Sheppard Road on 17th and 19th April.
Although no one was hurt, police are working swiftly to pinpoint those responsible.
Earlier, a 37-year-old was arrested on similar charges on April 21 but has been released on bail with conditions.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Cartwright of South Yorkshire Police said: "Our investigation into the series of firearms discharges is continuing at pace and we are continuing to carry out enforcement activity to find those responsible for these abhorrent actions that put innocent people at risk."
"While these arrests are a development in our investigation, we are continuing to appeal to our communities to aid our enquiries, sometimes what you think is the smallest piece of information is the vital part we’re missing."
