Fresh witness appeal after blaze guts former Shiregreen Working Men’s Club
Fire crews were called to the building earlier this month
Police are appealing for information after a fire gutted the abandoned Shiregreen Working Men’s Club in Sheffield earlier this month.
Fire crews were called to Shiregreen Lane at around 4.45pm on August 9.
Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control and no injuries were reported.
An investigation has been launched and it is now believed the fire was started deliberately.
House to house enquiries revealed that a group of youths had entered the building and left minutes before the fire was seen.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the event or has information to get in touch on 101.
