17 year old boy charged with attempted murder after Sheffield stabbing

A 14 year old boy was seriously injured in the attack but is now recovering in hospital

A 17 year old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Sheffield in which another teenager was seriously injured.

The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged in connection with a serious assault in Market Square in Woodhouse last Wednesday night.

A 14 year old boy was treated in hospital but is now said to be recovering well.

The 17 year old will make his first appearance before Sheffield Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

South Yorkshire Police continue to appeal for information about the attack.
