Police in Sheffield are trying to trace woman who reportedly helped another woman in distress last month.

On March 11 the Good Samaritan gave a lift to a woman claiming she had been assaulted, driving her from Westfield Southway to Eckington.

The police are keen to identify the helper, described as a white woman in her 30s, with blonde or brown hair, tattoos on her arms, and wearing a grey tank top.

She was driving a silver car and mentioned she was on her way to collect her husband when she stopped to assist.

Authorities are urging the identified woman, or anyone who recognizes her from the description, to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.

Those who may have information are encouraged to contact the police online or by calling 101, quoting investigation number 14/68160/26.
