ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

Police are appealing for the driver of a blue van to come forward as part of their investigation into a fatal crash in Stocksbridge, Sheffield last month.

It happened at 12.11am on November 8 at the junction of Manchester Road and Johnson Street.

A 63-year-old pedestrian had been hit by a white Iveco lorry and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry stopped and is helping police with their investigation.

As part of their inquiries, officers are now trying to identify the driver of a blue van, believed to be a Volkswagen Transporter, which was seen travelling away from Sheffield on Manchester Road at the time of the crash.

It is thought the driver could have witnessed the collision and may help investigators piece together what happened.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police on 101.
