Sheffield Eagles captain Joel Farrell has committed his long term future to the club, after signing a new deal running until the end of the 2028 season.

The 31 year old Huddersfield Giants, Dewsbury Rams and Batley Bulldogs man has sent the last seven seasons playing for Eagles.

He sat much of the last campaign out through injury, but returned for the final two games of the Championship season.

The second row has made a total of 131 appearances and has scored 43 tries for the club.
