"Horrific abuse": Sheffield child rapist jailed for 15 years

A Sheffield man has been jailed for 15 years after being convicted of the rape of a child.
41 year old Shaun Ali was arrested after police received information about child sexual abuse.
He denied all offending in court cut was ultmately convicted of two counts of rape of a girl under the age of 13.
Alongside a custodial sentence Ali, of Barnsley Road, was handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Detective Constable Wendy Howe of South Yorkshire Police said:
"From the outset of the investigation the girl has shown incredible bravery and I want to commend her courage when interviewed about this horrific abuse which led to us arresting Ali."
"Coming forward to disclose such a traumatic crime takes immeasurable strength and the victim's determination to speak the truth was crucial in securing justice."
