Police have launched an appeal for information after two sheep were shot with crossbow bolts in Wadworth, close to Doncaster.

A farmer in the Daw Lane area reported two of his animals being found injured at around 7:30am last Wednesday (July 23).

The arrows were still sticking out of the distressed animals, but both have since had them removed and are now recovering well.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
