'More funding' needed to help pupils with SEND needs in South Yorkshire to 'thrive'

A national protest is taking place in London today on the matter

We're told 'more funding' is needed to help children in South Yorkshire & North Derbyshire - with special educational needs - so they can 'thrive'.

Parents from across the country are planning to protest outside parliament today - to raise awareness around the issue.

Cerid Moore from Sheffield has 4 children with special educational needs.

She says more needs to be done to help them:

"More people need to hear our voices because a lot of the time our children don't have voices that are represented.

"Even in a mainstream school, SEND children can succeed - they just need that little bit more support.

"However, they just need that little bit more support, which they aren't getting right now."
