Former Chesterfield winger Ryan Colclough has been handed a suspended prison term after assaulting another man in a pub.

The victim in the case was left with serious injuries after being attacked in the toilets at the Red Lion in Brimington in 2024.

He was found guilty of GBH without intent at Derby Crown Court earlier this year buy was spared a prison term during sentencing today.

His 28 month prison term has been suspended for two years.

The 31 year old, of Clowne, played for the Spireites between 2023 and last year, before joining AFC Fylde.
