Doncaster Rovers club captain Owen Bailey has put to bed speculation about his future, by signing a new three year deal with Donny.

The 27 year old has been in negotiations over the summer after the expiry of the initial two year deal he agreed in 2023.

He netted 15 times last season, earning a nomination for League One Player of the Season and a place in the Team of the Season.

His new agreement also includes the option of an additional 12 months.

Speaking to the Doncaster Rovers website about his new deal, Bailey said: "I'm delighted to get it done and I'm really grateful for the club and for everyone involved in getting it done."

"The way the gaffer has spoken to me since I've come to the club has been unbelievable. It's a big thing for me to want to repay that and commit my future here and give everything when I go out on the pitch, and I'll continue to do that."

"I'm delighted I've been given the opportunity to do that."
