Four men from Rotherham have been sentenced to a total of 125 years behind bars for attempted murder in Doncaster.

On August 18 2021, Samuel Jebson, 25, Oliver Jebson, 28, Callum Rogers, 27, and Paul Oates, 40, drove to Bentley Road in a Nissan X-Trail and assaulted two victims.

The group stabbed a 26-year-old man and shot him in the abdomen, causing serious injuries.

They also fired at a 24-year-old man, hitting a phone he held to his ear, leading to minor injuries.

The Nissan was later traced back to Samuel and Oliver Jebson’s address.

The four were charged with two counts of attempted murder and conspiring to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life and were convicted at Sheffield Crown Court.

Earlier today they group were handed the following sentences:

Paul Oates - 32 years;

Oliver Jebson - 31 years;

Sam Jebson - 31 years;

Callum Rogers - 31 years.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Jones, the officer in charge of the case, said:

“This was a horrific attack in which both victims were inches just away from suffering fatal injuries.

“These men acted like thugs and there is no place for them or their actions in our community.

“The work of our officers in the course of a protracted investigation to gather evidence and build a watertight case has ensured that the four men will be locked up for years for their chilling crime.

“I am proud of our team and hope that this result provides some closure for both victims.”
