New Chick-fil-A restaurant planned to replace Pizza Hut at Rotherham retail park

A new fried chicken shop could be coming to Cortonwood Shopping Park in Rotherham.
American chain Chick-fil-A could be moving into the site left vacant by Pizza Hut, which has been closed since October 2025.
The application proposal suggests that the project will generate 80 new jobs, including construction jobs.
The existing car parking area at the unit site would be removed and replaced by the drive-thru pick up area, exit, and deliveries lay-by.
An outdoor seating area will also be on an outdoor patio.
Car parking will be added to include six car parking spaces, including two accessible spaces, and six cycle parking spaces.
The restaurant will stand next to the existing McDonald’s restaurant.
The application is currently open for public comments until August 19.
