A controlled explosion has been carried out in central Sheffield after officers were called to reports of a suspicious package earlier

Parts of Furnace Hill, Trinity Street and Copper Street were blocked off, after the find on Scotland Street, but all roads have now reopened.

South Yorkshire Police says the Explosive Ordnance Disposal attended the scene and blew the object up at a safe location.

It's now believed it was a TV inside a box.
