Body found in search for missing Yorkshire teen in Pembrokeshire
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that a body has now been found and the boy’s family has been informed
A tragic end has been confirmed in the search for a teenage boy who went missing at Marloes Sands beach in Pembrokeshire.
The 15 year old, who was visiting from Yorkshire, was reported missing after getting into difficulty in the sea on 31st August.
Emergency services, including the coastguard, launched a major search after it was reported that three people were struggling in the water at around half past three in the afternoon.
Two of them managed to reach safety, but the teenager could not be found.
Despite extensive efforts from rescue teams, the search was called off two days later, on 1st September.

Authorities have thanked all those involved in the search and have extended their deepest sympathies to the boy’s loved ones.
The beach at Marloes Sands remains a popular spot for visitors, but this incident is a reminder of the dangers that can be present in open water.
