Woman who died in fatal Peak District crash named
A man in his 20s has been arrested following the crash earlier this week
A woman who was killed in a crash in the Peak District earlier this week has been named as 73 year old Jean Higginbottom.
She was behind the wheel of a silver Renault Clio on Manchester Road when she was in a collision with a Nissan Pixo close to Millbrook House at 2:30pm on August 19.
Jean, who was from the Hyde area of Manchester, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family are now being supported by specialist officers.
A man in his 20s, also from Greater Manchester, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed.
